BALI CREATIVE INDUSTRY CENTER (BCIC) SEMINAR
One strategy for economic and industrial development in Indonesia is the development of creative industries. The Ministry of Industry through the Directorate General of SMEs continues to encourage and develop the creative industries and fashion crafts sector that has added value and competitiveness. One of the efforts the Ministry of Industry by providing the means of education and development by establishing Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC) in Denpasar, Bali. BCIC Seminar in Yogyakarta in cooperation with the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM UNY) which took place in KPLT Faculty of Engineering UNY, on Thursday, September 10, 2015 and attended by about 500 participants from vocational students, faculty, students and alumni of universities, the creative industries and the creative community in Yogyakarta.
The event was opened by the Chairman Prof. LPPM UNY Dr. Anik Ghufron, on this occasion expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Industry's program that provides facilities for creative industries in Indonesia. The purpose of this activity is to facilitate and motivate the creative SMEs, designers, univeristies and communities (associations) to develop the innovation of new products, commercial value and be able create the high quality product and competitive athmosphere said by Ir. Dodik Widodo, M.Si, as the representative of the Directorate General of SMEs, the Ministry of Industry RI. Dodik added that with the establishment of BCIC is expected to improve the quality of human resources and creative products, promoting networking, promotion and branding creative SMEs nationally and occurs synergy Quadro Helix: IKM creative, professional associations, community colleges and government. In this activity presents three speakers who are competent in the field of creative industries in particular subsector of fashion and crafts, Moses Widayatmaja, an entrepreneur and fashion designer, Dr. Abie Abdillah, a skill development expert and Genie Anggita as design and architecture expert. The event was enlivened with the dance show performances and fashion shows students of Dance Department, Faculty of Language and Arts and Fashion Education. (Jne)
